The trend continued of reaching a higher highpoint with each successive one. That could not go on much longer...
We hiked up the North Elbert Trail with Markus and Brandi Mueller from Eagle, CO (we met them at the German 100 in 2005). We had an excellent hike on a beautiful day. Starting at about 10,000 ft, we climbed to the highpoint at 14,433 ft - our highest to date. It took us about 2 hours and 40 minutes to ascend, 1:30 down. Wonderful!
